As per the current provision, an IEC holder has to ensure that the details in its IEC are updated electronically every year during April-June period. However, for the F.Y. 21-22 the period for updation of IEC details was extended by DGFT by one Month till 31st July 2021.
The DGFT vide Notification no 16/2015-2020 dated 9th August 2021, has further extended the period for updation of IEC details by one more month till 31st August 2021.
In cases where there are no changes in IEC details, same needs to be confirmed online within the extended period.
Further, late fees applicable for the delay in updation of details in IEC code has been waived, if the changes are updated till 31st August 2021.
