The Quarterly Return Monthly Payment (QRMP) Scheme was implemented w.e.f. 1st January 2021 where the taxpayers having aggregate turnover up to Rs. 5 crores can opt for the scheme. The return filing frequency for such taxpayers is on a quarterly basis i.e. the taxpayers are required to file their GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B once in a quarter.
If a taxpayer wants to opt out of the scheme and change the return filing frequency for any quarter from quarterly to monthly basis, then such option is to be exercised between first day of second month of preceding quarter to the last day of the first month of the quarter.
Hence, for the quarter April to June 2021, 30th April 2021 is the last date to change the return filing preference from quarterly to monthly.
