Gujarat HC has directed CBDT to extend the due date for filing ITRs u/s 139(1) to 30th November 2025. After CBDT extended the due date for tax audit to 31st October 2025, court held that maintaining the mandatory one-month gap between audit report submission and return filing is essential to uphold legislative intent.
