GST Input Tax Credit Allowed on Demo Cars
In a recent ruling by the West Bengal Authority for Advance Rulings (AAR), it has been clarified that authorized agents of Mercedes-Benz India can claim input tax credit (ITC) on GST paid for cars used as demo vehicles. These vehicles are purchased to aid sales efforts through customer trial runs and demonstrations.
