CBIC issued guidelines for the launching of prosecution under the CGST Act
The CBIC vide Instruction No. 04/2022-23 [GST – Investigation] dated September 01, 2022, has
issued guidelines for the launching of prosecution under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act,
2017.
The prosecution is the institution or commencement of legal proceedings; the process of
exhibiting formal charges against the offender.
₹ 1,43,612 crore gross GST revenue collected in the month of August 2022
GST revenue collection has been more than Rs. 1.4 lakh crore for six months in a row. For the month of Aug’2022, it has been observed that GST revenue is 28% higher than the revenue in the same month last year.
