E-invoicing applicability now made mandatory for businesses having aggregate
turnover of more than Rs.10crore from 1st October 2022
E-invoicing is a system in which business-to-business invoices are authenticated electronically
by the Goods and Services Tax Network for use on the common GST portal. Invoice information is
transferred from the E-Invoice portal to the GST portal and E-Way bill portal in real-time,
eliminating the need for manual data entry while filing GSTR-1 return as well as generation
of a part of the E-Way bills.

₹1,48,995 crore gross GST revenue collected in July 2022 is the second highest ever
The gross GST revenue collected in July 2022 is ₹1,48,995 crore out of which CGST is ₹ 25,751
crore, SGST is ₹ 32,807 crore, IGST is ₹ 79,518 crore (including ₹ 41,420 crores collected
on import of goods) and cess is ₹ 10,920 crore (including ₹ 995 crores collected on import
of goods).
