GST Revenue Collection for the Month of October, 2020

Ministry of Finance declared the gross GST Revenue details on 1st November, 2020 for the month of October, 2020. The gross GST revenue for the month of October, 2020 stood at ₹ 1,05,155 crores.

Notification issued for Extension of Due Dates of Filing GSTR-9 & GSTR-9C

CBIC has issued the Notification No. 80/2020 – CT dated 28th October, 2020 for notifying the extension of due dates for Filing GTSR-9 & GSTR-9C for F.Y. 18-19 from 31st October, 2020 to 31st December, 2020.

Man Arrested for Forging ITC in Excess of Rs. 392 Crores

The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) Gurugram Zonal Unit (GZU), Haryana has arrested one Kabir Kumar, resident of New Delhi on charges of creating and operating fictitious firms on forged documents and passing fake input tax credit by way of issuance of invoices without any actual receipt or supply of goods or services.

It is apparent from the investigation conducted till date, that Kabir Kumar created multiple proprietary companies merely on paper based in Gurgaon, New Delhi, Faridabad, Noida, Sirsa etc. A total of more than Rs. 392 crores fake ITC has been passed by the accused. Further investigations in the matter are under progress.
